The
Quran, regarded by over 1.8 billion Muslims as the literal word of God, holds a
profound significance not only as a religious scripture but also as a testament
to divine knowledge and wisdom. Across centuries, the Quran has maintained its
authenticity and relevance, continuing to inspire faith, guide humanity, and
shape civilizations. In this article, we will explore why the truth of the
Quran remains indisputable, drawing attention to its historical preservation,
scientific insights, and moral teachings.
1. The Quran's Immaculate Preservation
One of the strongest proofs of the Quran’s truth is its preservation over time. The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) over 23 years in the 7th century, yet its content has remained unchanged since it was compiled into a single book form shortly after the Prophet’s death. This preservation is considered a divine promise:
“Indeed,
it is We who sent down the Quran, and indeed, we will be its guardian.”
(Quran 15:9). No other scripture, ancient
or modern, has undergone such rigorous preservation. Over the centuries, the
Quran has been meticulously memorized by millions of people, and vast numbers
of manuscripts have been found with remarkably few variations, which are mostly
related to orthographic differences, not the meaning of the text itself. The

others. For example, in Surah Al-Mu’minun
(23:13-14), the Quran describes the stages of human development in the womb: “Then We made the sperm into
a clot of congealed blood, then We made that clot into a lump (of flesh), then
We made out of that lump bones, and We clothed the bones with flesh, and then
We caused it to grow into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of
creators.” Modern embryology has shown that the stages mentioned in the
Quran correspond to the development of the human fetus, as discovered by
scientists only in the 20th century. Similarly, the Quran
mentions the origin of the universe and its eventual fate in verses that align
with the Big Bang theory and the concept of cosmic expansion, centuries before
scientists had any knowledge of these phenomena:
“Do
not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were a closed-up
mass, then We opened them out? And we made from water every living thing. Will
they not then believe?” (Quran 21:30). These
references to the natural world are not just poetic language but accurate
descriptions that align with contemporary scientific understanding, thus
strengthening the argument for the Quran’s divine truth.
3. The Quran’s Profound Moral and Social Guidance
The Quran's moral
and ethical teachings provide clear guidance on how to live a just, righteous,
and meaningful life. Its principles of justice, mercy, equality, and compassion
transcend time and place, making it a timeless guide for humanity. It addresses

between individuals and society.
For instance, the Quran emphasizes the importance of honesty and integrity: “And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].” (Quran 2:42).
It advocates for the protection of human rights, the care of orphans and the poor, and the preservation of justice. The concept of social justice found in the Quran encourages believers to work towards a fair and equitable society where individuals are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or status.
The Quran's
guidance on personal conduct and social interaction has led to the development
of systems that foster peace, stability, and harmony in Muslim societies. Its
call for humility, patience, and charity reflects a deep understanding of human

Quran’s divine status.
5. The Quran’s Prophecies and Predictions
The Quran also contains prophecies and
predictions that were realized centuries after its revelation. For example, the
Quran predicted the defeat of the Roman Empire and its subsequent victory:
“The Romans have
been defeated in the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will
overcome.” (Quran 30:2-3).
This prophecy was fulfilled when the Roman Empire, after being defeated by the
Persians, regained power in the following years. There are also other
predictions related to the future of Islam, the victory of the believers, and
the spread of the Quranic message across the world.

addresses the universal concerns of all humanity—whether related to ethics,
law, spirituality, or social relations. In every era, individuals and
